Love, Mirth and Yift

In this life's unexpected journeys, each of us faces different joys and struggles. It is always up to us when to smell the flowers we see along the way, when to mark a certain stop or when to finally build something over a rock foundation. When we created the Lia Collection last April 2020, we knew exactly what we wanted to do with it - to give back. Full 100% of its sales were donated to the World Vision Philippines' COVID-19 Emergency Response.

We have just started the year with deliveries to Rustan's to replenish four branches carrying the core mother of pearl designs that have been sold out in December. When the pandemic hit and the enhanced community quarantine was enforced on March 17, our already busy online habits became even busier. Quick-to-impulse ideas on how to help were what occupied the weeks that came after the national announcement.

It was on the second month of lockdown that the department stores have closed for weeks on end with no assurance of when doors will reopen. As for Mirth and Yift, we were fortunate to have a website that continued to operate. Businesses no matter what the size have been hit but small businesses such as ours were hit the hardest. On April 24, we finally launched 20 designs under the Lia Collection, each unique on its own as we made sure to just make 1-2 pieces per style. We wanted each design to be special. In just 2 weeks, we were able to sell most of the designs. Though the collection was not yet sold out, Mirth & Yift pledged the full proceeds of the collection right so it can be used immediately to support the cause. Officially, on August 20, the Lia Collection was finally sold out.

In continued effort to support, Mirth & Yift pledges to donate 10% of any regular sale from its mother of pearl Core Collection to the World Vision Philippines' COVID-19 Emergency Response.

Thank you to the several supporters of the brand who all selflessly helped by purchasing a pair (or more!) from the Lia Collection as well as to everyone who bought from the mother of pearl Core Collection.
